Gaming mice designed for large hands are also heavy. The Corsair Ironclaw RGB (Check on Amazon.com) is a gaming mouse designed for large hands that weighs just 105 grams and sports an advanced optical sensor (18,000 DPI sensitivity).
Corsair Ironclaw RGB – Design
The Corsair Ironclaw RGB uses the excellent Omron switches, certified for more than 50 million clicks! It also has seven programmable buttons and, as the name suggests, fully adjustable and customizable RGB backlight.
Another feature is its integrated memory that lets you store different profiles with specific buttons and light customizations for each game.
The mouse itself has a fairly understated design and shifts away if the aggressive lines that characterize most gaming mice. It is soft to the touch and although it may seem cheap it uses quality materials typical of the Corsair brand.
In the upper part, we have the two main buttons (left and right-click) and the scroll wheel that is quite large. Just below it, we find two more buttons responsible for switching between the DPI levels in steps of 1 DPI.
The left side has two thumb buttons perfectly placed just above it.
Underneath we find four Teflon pads that help with the sliding.
The USB cable comes out of the center and is protected with a rubber insert to ensure greater durability. It is also reinforced with nylon for added robustness. The cable is fairly long (1.8m) and shows extraordinary flexibility despite its thickness.
Corsair Ironclaw RGB – iCUE software
We are not going to tell you anything that you don’t already know about Corsair’s iCUE software. It is an important piece for the performance of this type of device and the ease of use and intuitiveness make iCUE the perfect companion for all of Corsair’s peripherals.
Corsair Ironclaw RGB – Performance
The Corsair Ironclaw RGB is a delight to use for all those with big hands. The Palm grip type is without a doubt the most comfortable especially in long gaming sessions.
The sensor’s behavior both for productivity and gaming has been impeccable, providing great accuracy at all times, although if you do not have big hands it will hinder your precision. It is the only catch of this mouse.
Corsair Ironclaw RGB – Verdict
The Corsair Ironclaw RGB (Check on Amazon.com) is a big mouse that weighs only 105 grams. It sounds simple, but it is not. It requires a Palm grip but it is very comfortable during long gaming sessions. Even the price is extremely competitive for such a solid gaming mouse.
