With the new Honor 7X (Check on Amazon.com), the Chinese company has decided to follow the market’s present design standards, with a large 5.93-inch, Full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) display in the new form factor of 18:9. Thanks also to the 2.5D screen the Honor 7X is now more or less bezel-less on the sides. This smartphone looks very elegant, thanks to its metal body.

The Honor 7X also chooses to follow another of the major trends: the double rear camera. It has two sensors, a 16-megapixel main camera, and 2-megapixel secondary one, which is used to improve photo quality by adding more detail or for adding special effects, such as the bokeh one. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor.

Inside the shell, we find very interesting hardware spec sheet. The HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, an octa-core processor with a maximum speed of 2.36GHz, is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via micro SD up to 256GB. The Honor 7X is a dual-Sim device since the micro SD slot can be occupied by an additional nano-Sim. The Honor 7X is equipped with VoLTE technology, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. To power the whole thing we find a 3340mAh battery.

Great specs, therefore, for a smartphone that aims at the top of the medium range.
